Description

Course Overview

The MMCD IDS – Civil 3D Gravity Network Course provides instruction on how to design storm sewer, sanitary sewer and watermain utilities using gravity networks and other functionality available in Autodesk Civil 3D 2026.

This demonstration-based session walks through the complete gravity network design process, including parts catalogs and parts lists, creating and editing gravity networks, managing pipes and structures, applying styles, preparing annotations, calculating quantities and preparing gravity networks for final plan production.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will understand:

  • How external parts catalogs and drawing template parts lists work together
  • How to create custom pipe sizes and materials
  • Procedures for creating, editing and managing gravity networks
  • How to control the display of pipes and structures using styles
  • Best practices for gravity network annotation and plan production
  • How to calculate and report quantities for gravity network pipes and structures
  • How to use Project Explorer's capabilities for reviewing and editing gravity networks

Course Topics
